Skydance Paramount Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – Report

Skydance Paramount will start significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The layoffs come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional global layoffs are expected, as the firm aiming to announce full details via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount was looking to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

By December 2024, the organization had nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.

The company has not yet commented regarding the report.
